Starting in 2017, all our Knights teams will now play in outside leagues.  We will send all our teams out to compete other schools, church teams and other sports organizations.  We have baseball and softball programs for boys and girls ages 5 and up. We teach the fundamentals of baseball in a nurturing environment. The goals, the ideas, and the plans that we have in place and planned all revolve around the players and what is best for them. Little League is only for the kids.   Our teams will be placed in Kiwanis League, New York Travel league, St. Anselms league and Kingsbay league and others.   The Knights travel teams that have participated in the Kiwanis League, BBL, New York  Travel, Cal Ripken, and several tournaments in the last couple of years, our teams have always been finishing at the top of most the these leagues largely in part to our winter training that utilizes three separate gyms and many expert trainers.   If you want to register go to our website at www.knightsaa.org and register.  Questions call 917-675-1476 or e-mail McCarthy@freehill.com you can also call Mike Baglivo 347-386-7074 or Dan Fogliano 718-688-5130

Our 2019  8U Summer team made it to the Kiwanis Summer Championship  game.

The DHAA/St. Bernadette objectives for this coming 2018 season include fielding travel teams in the age groups of 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18 and Sandlot teams in ages 7-14. All players ages 7 and up will be eligible to try out for travel teams. Unfortunately due to the competitive level of play, we strongly recommend that – our registrants and potential travel kids attend winter baseball training at St. Bernadette Gymnasium and New Utrecht High School located on 16th avenue and 80th Street. We have hired an independent trainer /talent evaluator who will decide on what kids will make each travel team. We will select the best 12 kids for each team. We will let your child know within a reasonable period of time if he/she will make the team.   Our travel teams will play in Kiwanis and New York Travel during the Spring season depending on the number of teams that we have in each age group. We have hired key coaches from three local high schools to work with our travel pitchers for baseball and work with our girls as well.  Our Baseball/Softball focus will continue to provide extensive training for all players, top notch equipment for all our players, lower than average fees, full support from the community and great volunteers from our neighborhood. Organized baseball is about more than balls, bats and gloves. As we see it, involves teaching our children the aspects of teamwork, the virtues of character, courage, and loyalty, a respect of authority, and the self-discipline that enable our youth to lead our nation tomorrow.
